Recent interest in the potential of omega-3 fatty acids to reduce inflammation and cardiovascular disease risk has spawned a negative view of omega-6 fatty acids. For some reason, it was thought that omega-6 fatty acids had the potential to out compete omega-3 fatty acids and displaced their beneficial effects. This hypothesis has now been proven to be untrue!
